We are basing the block updates on the Mobile Client Software Factory v1, July 2006 and including improvements by the Microsoft Dynamics Mobile PU.

The main improvement is related to a new Dependency Injection (Container Model) that with the port of the PRISM Event Aggregator block (port by Andy Wigley in Mobile Contribute) replaces the "Mobile Composite UI Application Block" in MCSF v1. We have done performance comparisons to illustrate the improvements and will post them.

This is a community release, which means it will just be published on CodePlex, and we will rely on community interaction, like bug and usability feedback, to ensure a good final result. We are feature complete for the base code. For this release we will now focus on the reference implementation (suggestions are encouraged). In May documentation and functional test. Plus, we have three ideas for internal and external collaboration that will make for some compelling enhancements and plan to announce these within one month. If you have feature suggestions feel encouraged to suggest them for the next version.

3/12: To follow the entire process of creating the brand new Dependency Injection (Container Model) block applying test-driven development, make sure you watch the Funq (codename) Screencast Series.

3/31: Orientation Aware Control: Clarius Consulting is providing a community version that only supports the default form factor working with this release. Project Description

Allow developers to build mobile applications based on VS2008, .NET CF 3.5 and WM6.1. We are basing the block updates on the Mobile Client Software Factory v1, July 2006 and including improvements by the Microsoft Dynamics Mobile PU.

The main improvement is related to a new Dependency Injection (Container Model) that with the event aggregator block (port from "PRISM" by Andy Wigley in Mobile Contribute) replaces the "Mobile Composite UI Application Block" in MCSF v1. We have done performance comparisons to illustrate the improvements that we will post.

This is a community release, which means it will just be published on CodePlex, and we will rely on community interaction, like bug and usability feedback, to ensure a good final result. As one example of the community contributions, please see Mobile Contribute project for additional blocks that work with the Mobile Application Blocks posted here. QuickStarts will also be posted in Mobile Contribute.
